Some positive news from the Local Government Boundary Commission: having considered the points raised by Langar cum Barnstone Parish Council – among others – the Commission is proposing that Langar and Barnstone should now both fall within the single Rushcliffe Borough Council ward of Neville & Langar rather than the two villages being in separate wards. Good news for the Parish Council and for both of our villages.
The detailed proposals can be studied at https://consultation.lgbce.org.uk/node/27236, along with an opportunity to express your opinion. The Parish Council will discuss the issue at its next meeting.
These proposed boundary changes are distinct from the parliamentary constituency boundary changes which are also currently under consideration.

Exciting news on our rebuilding programme!
We’ve raised nearly all the funds required to build our new village hall and are now ready for the final push. We need to raise the last £50,000 so are therefore launching our ‘We Can Do This’ campaign. Donations from individuals and the wider community are welcome and all support will be recorded in perpetuity within the village hall records.
There will be five categories – Bronze, Silver, Gold, Platinum and Corporate – and every donation will be gratefully received, no matter how large or small.
If you would like to give your support, you can donate (anonymously if desired) in the following ways:
