Celebrating Rushcliffe Awards Winner – David Williams

November 21st, 2019

Congratulations to our own David Williams who has won the Volunteer of the Year Award at yesterday’s Celebrating Rushcliffe Awards, held at The Becket School in West Bridgford.

Since last year, David has spent around an hour a day collating, sorting and washing an incredible 2.6 million bottles tops from across Rushcliffe and far beyond at his Barnstone home, in aid of Dove Cottage Hospice. He delivers them to a recycling site before sending the equivalent plastic monetary value to the charity.
