Road & Pavement Issues – Please Report Them
The Parish Council has received many complaints about the poor condition of local roads and pavements, particularly the increasing number of potholes from Barnstone to Langar crossroads, and the mud on Main Road where the pavement is disappearing.
These issues are regularly reported by the Parish Council and the Lengthsman. However, the Parish Council has no direct control over repairs, as responsibility lies elsewhere.
The more people who report problems, the greater the chance of action being taken.
Road, pothole or pavement issues can be reported here:

Overgrown footpaths, blocked access and broken stiles can be reported here:

Did you know in the UK each year we buy over 12 million Christmas jumpers?
To reduce clothing waste this Christmas, Veolia and Nottinghamshire County Council have partnered up with Inspire to organise a Nottinghamshire Christmas Jumper Swap campaign across some of the county’s libraries.
Nottinghamshire residents can donate their pre-loved Christmas jumpers at one of four drop off points at any of the venues below, up to and including 26th November:
All jumpers donated must be of good quality, wearable and clean.
Residents wishing to swap their pre-loved Christmas jumper for another can come along to either:
We will have all of the jumpers we collected on clothes rails for people to choose from for free!
Any jumpers left over after the two events will be donated to local shelters, organisations and charities.
However, it’s not only Christmas when clothing is thrown away. In Nottinghamshire, over 70 tonnes of reusable clothes are thrown away each week. To see how else you can reduce textile waste visit the textile waste reduction webpage.
