Community Apple Day Saturday 19th October

October 20th, 2019

A great afternoon was had by all ages yesterday at Langar School. The weather held and the sun even shone a little!

A big thank you to all who helped turn the apples into delicious juice. We are indebted to Allan from Merrivale AD Plant who left us a big digger bucket into which we put all the remaining apple ‘cake’. The apple waste weighed in at 135kgs which Allan says will help to make 2 kilowatts of electricity. Fully recyclable apples!
