Local Royal British Legion Branch wins award

Congratulations are due to the Granby, Barnstone & District Branch of the Royal British Legion which has been awarded a Certificate of Merit as a runner up in the Jellicoe Cup competition for a small UK Branch with the most improved membership for the past three years.

The certificate was awarded at the RBL national conference in Southport on Sunday 21st May. This award recognises the significant work done by the Branch Officers in recruiting new members to the Branch in the past six months, thus enabling the Branch to achieve full branch status once more.This award is testament to the hard work put in by volunteers
